Sexual addiction, also sometimes called sexual compulsion, is a form of psychological addiction to sexual intercourse and other sexual behavior.
Christmas Eve to New Year, even when I was an addict - I never felt a compulsion to act out this week and was able to be selfless.
This being my first addiction free Christmas in year, I am really thankful for this time of the year to become less selfish and care more about the people around me.
This is the time of joy and family togetherness and I wish everyone the best during this wonderful time of the year.
Let this time signal the start to the end of addiction in all of us and bring us lasting joy rather than short term "happiness (according to our addicted mind)" that leads to lasting misery...

I wish the same for you, your loved ones and everyone else on this support group. This will be my fifth year addiction free and I have to tell you, that it feels awesome. I will truly be free to do.anything and go anywhere I want and not have to worry about a thing.
That brings me to something you said, the happiness nanosecond you mention is just that a nanosecond and it is followed by hours of misery til the next hit. Now, many addicts have told me that they are free, as well, after all can they not watch any scene they want, when they want?
I have bad news, yes that is true but what kind of freedom is it when we find ourselves merely doing what the addiction dictates? Addictive behavior is the opposite of freedom, true freedom lies in being able to face the world head on and have nothing to hide from it.
This time of the year for those of you who are alone and depressed, the addiction will try and say, you can find comfort in it, it will make you feel better when all is basically showing you is a road to even more misery. Do not fall for it, get healthy instead.
Like I always say, stop existing and start living. There are not two ways about it.
