I thought about it, but I did not watch any porn yesterday. If you can make it one day, you can keep going on. Thank you to everyone for their encouragement! If it wasn't for y'all and an amazing best friend who loves me no matter what condition, I would feel hopeless right now. I really do appreciate this group and I pray that I can help out y'all! It's really great being able to talk to others about this - my family is much too religious and it's just too awkward anyway.

I'm glad we could be here for you and, and I thank you for all you've done as well.
I understand about the religious family problem, and I know how awkward it can be to open up to them. Obviously out situations are completely different, but I opening up to most of my family (with the exception of one sister and people's partners) has been one of the biggest steps in my recovery, and that is especially true of my brother. If you feel it's safe to, maybe giving them a chance to be there for you might not be terrible? But if they are super religious, I can see why that would be hard. Best of luck! Keep it up!!!!

Maybe one day. But most of them refuse to understand my anxiety so porn is definitely over their head. But thanks guys!

I know I need to think more positively, so here goes. Work will be a blessing because I’m so tired and exhausted, that even the thought of porn and pleasure doesn’t do anything to me right now. Hopefully I will get home and just pass out - sleep has been hard to come by the last few nights with my back hurting so much. Okay, a real positive note: I didn’t watch anything last night either.

Awesome! An exhausting job can definitely be a benefit when fighting with something like porn for sure. Sorry about your back, if I may ask, have you been to a chiropractor? Not to get all preachy, but my back went out on me a couple of years ago and I thought my life was over. We found a chiropractor and he got me back into an almost normal life.

I should visit one. But I’m pretty sure I have kidney stones. I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and find a pcp and urologist. And make many lifestyle changes. I’m so not good with change.

I am not good with change either or else I would have probably already moved on from my second marriage and yes chiropractors are great if you find the one that can help you. Not all are chiropractors are good but if you find one that can help you be sure he xrays your back before he works on you....it’s protocol and every good chiropractor will do that so they are for sure of how to treat you!!! Best wishes
