Having a hard time

I get urges to take quick peeks at a little at all times of the day. But, then I realized I can do this. I can get through the urges by thinking of how bad it has hurt my girlfriend and how I want to be a better person. I don't need to look at anything to get me through my day. Right now it has been 5 days since I last view any.

Every moment you have a urge just remember how long you’ve stayed sober. Push through it and believe in yourself. I’m still addicted but I want to try this site as another way to help me beat this demon. Try and pick up a hobby and let your mind focus on that I took up drumming and I love it

I'm 35 days straight with no porn after I told my wife of 15 years that I look at porn and masterbate. She was shocked. I'm in counseling now for the short term, and when I get those same urges, I attempt to think about something related to my wife, and if it gets stronger, i'll just play a game to redirect my thoughts. Man, this is tough sometimes, but being a month out, I have to say, it's gotten a little easier. Stay strong and do your best :)

Why are you doing it?
Of course it takes swallowing your pride, guilt and shame to learn why you are doing this.
