I have tried. I really have. But everywhere I look, everything I do, brings me back to porn and masturbation. I will not go into detail, but I am ready to accept that I will continue.....and I accept it.

I have been there don't accept it. If you want to change you can. You just have to think about your reasons why. For me the Why was the anxiety I felt, the secrecy and shame of my behaviors, always being on edge either afraid of getting caught by my spouse or feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by the amount of time I used P. I do not want to feel that way anymore and I do not want to continue to feel bad about the person I am on the inside. I want the inside me and the outside me to be the same person. It will be a challenge, but you can do it. I started by picking one goal (Not use p for a week), go with a day if needed) and developed a plan to help with that goal. Talking with others and taking preventative action to recognize and deal with threats was a big step for me. Good luck and remember you found this site for a reason.

If you are willing to continue and accept it then maybe it isnt an addiction or an issue for you? Just a thought
To-Be-Clean
I struggled with masturbation and pornography for over 25 years. I still struggle. Right now it is day 55 of being clean. When you lose is when you decide that it is not worth it and quit trying to control yourself. The only reason I have been able to get clean is in the strength of God. If you want more information on what is working for me send me a personal message.

I know how you feel. And this stuff sucks but it’s about the little victories and how you repond to the failures.

This is true. The relapses are so hard to deal with, especially when it's too easily accessible.

I have been in a relationship with a porn addict for 4 yrs. Didn’t discover this until almost two years into it. I thought I was the problem , blamed myself for not being good enough. Come to find out it’s been a 20 yrs plus problem of his. I explained to him that I wasn’t jealous but that it robbed us of intimacies of human touch let alone destroying our sex life.So he took a hammer outside along with this black box thing that he would hook up to the desktop when I wasn’t home and smashed it into pieces and threw it in the trash, hmmm, okay...we’ll seasons have changed and went by and we still have this issue. Like porn is everywhere on the web , you don’t need a black box hahaha,,, Also he requires viagra for us to indulge in sex, which I’d cool with me especially considering his age and blood pressure meds, I totally get that. Problem is ,, 4 viagra pills came up missing which are split in two so it’s as if 8 have gone missing,hmm.. So the question I seek answers to that haven’t gotten from him are, where did they go ??? Did he cheat ?? Is he still cheating?? Or, does he now require viagra to get an erection even while he watches porn? This is no way to live comfortably in a relationship, everyday it’s on my mind. Anyone with any insight ?? I’d love some advice..

I have learned to accept it also. I struggle with seeing the harm in resorting to porn in terms of masturbation enhancement. I should say I've known several men who've allowed themselves to slip into a state where they appear to me to be substituting porn for real relationships, and I think that is where the line I would draw exists. If one has withdrawn from people around them to the point where a strong physical relationship is being displaced by sitting alone with porn . . . . then it's an addiction that is controlling you, rather than the other way around?

I think I'd not necessarily a bad thing to accept it but it matters if it takes over your life and every aspect of it. If you are preferring that human interaction, making excuses to do it instead of going out, doing it out of boredom, then you need to try to change your ways. It's like smoking, ween yourself down, limit how many times and step down slowly. It's just like any addiction. Trying cold turkey can be brutal but baby steps may be your best friend as well as the support of others
