Sexual addiction, also sometimes called sexual compulsion, is a form of psychological addiction to sexual intercourse and other sexual behavior.
I have an appointment with my therapist next week, after a year of waiting on the list. Any advice for what I can expect from this first session? Not so much the questions that he will be asking more so what can I expect coming from myself. Thanks.
Will you be honest, open and transparent? This is really the only thing you can do for yourself in order to help the therapist understand you better so that he/she can help you.
Remember that the therapist's job is not to judge you, it is to evaluate you so that he/she can decide how to proceed with your therapy.

I do thoroughly understand your point and honesty is the one principal that I will go in there with or else the whole thing would be pointless without it. I know that this is a large step towards lifetime recovery if there is such a thing and it really is my priority now.
