Today a bit hard as I have to ghostwrite an essay for a friend about a topic I don't really know well (greed and foolhardiness) then my husband is having his leaving party and might get drunk which I kind of hate because I'm teetotal...
It seems so easy to go and find someone from my numbers to hook up with...but then they might not be there and then I will go back on the Grindr looking for more sources either this or next time. This is the first time I have fought this feeling. The first time that I've not gone to the offlicence to get that beer or those cigarettes! It's an important moment for my self development.let's hope I'm up to it given all the smug advice I've given on here ;-)

Recognizing that you are vulnerable and knowing your triggers is actually very good. If you slip, please know that this isn't an easy journey. Do you have a strong support system outside this group? You don't say you are in a 12 step program, but you may want to consider joining a face to face group. Having people you can call when you feel vulnerable helps a lot.

Hi thanks for this. I've got friends I'm trying to spend more phone and face too face with. I'm being honest with several. I'll go back to ADD SLAA after a month maybe...You're not allowed to speak until you have a month sobriety which I find odd because I know aa. I'm sure trey have their reasons

Oh it's easier to spend time with friends when every spare moment is not spent cruising too!
