Your story is very similar to mine. It was the same every day, and impacted everything - culminating in an extramarital online/phone relationship that ultimately devastated my wife, my marriage, and me. I sought therapy over a year ago and it has served me well...though I have struggled. Through a combination of my wife setting parental controls, a desire to save my marriage, and therapy I was doing well for a while. When my wife removed the parental controls I slowly started creeping back to my old ways and finding porn - even though I hated that I was doing it. I am now 30 days porn free without parental controls!
Two things that got me here are (1) my therapist's recommendation that I read the first 11 chapters of the AA Big Book (https://www.aa.org/pages/en_US/alcoholics-anonymous); and (2) a TedTalk by Eli Nash (https://www.ted.com/talks/eli_nash_escaping_porn_addiction) that I deeply connected with.
My therapist stressed that the Big Book is not only about alcohol and encouraged my to replace"alcohol" with "pornography" in my reading. Both the Big Book (and the 12 steps) and Nash's talk made me realize that beyond depression, anxiety and OCD, I also have an addiction. Acknowledging that (as scary as it is), being ok with it, and knowing that there are other ways in which I can handle stress and anxiety each day as they come, have helped me get to day 30.
Perhaps this approach will be of help to you too. I wish you well.
