Hello All, I joined this group a couple weeks ago, and I have found participating in discussions here, as well as reading literature about quitting porn addiction, to be very helpful. I was wondering if others here have also found that literature to be helpful, and if so, what books you recommend.
Currently I'm reading Your Brain on Porn, by Gary Wilson, which I have found to be very helpful and encouraging. I'm also reading Breaking the Cycle, by George Collins, which looks at sex addiction more broadly, and is still good. Please let me know if there are others you would recommend. It's very helpful to have that reinforcement for more positive thought cycles.
Yes, I am married, but have been fortunate enough that porn has not been a point of contention in my marriage. I'm sure it hasn't been good for it either, but I haven't felt the need to hide my use from my wife, and her and I have not had any fights over it. I've stayed away from the relationship centric books thus far because I feel like it's more of a personal struggle for me, in light of the circumstances
