I recently told my girlfriend I have a porn addiction and it did not go well. I've been struggling with this for about 13 years and I've been trying to quit for so long. I've gone stretches where I go weeks without watching pornography and I feel great but I can't seem to keep away. I'm serious about quitting this time because I don't want to lose her and it's causing serious problems in our relationship. I've seen online to keep a journal about what pornography has cost you and to join a support group which I'm doing now. But if anyone has any tips how to quit for good that would be greatly appreciated.

@Boyd.p what I usually do it just go cold turkey and try to figure it out that way but I always fall back. I’ve tried accountability software and that worked for me for a while until I found a loophole. Right now what I’m trying is journaling and joining a support group.

Sorry to hear about your relationship having taking a hit from this. I have been dealing on and off with these temptations to watch porn for a long, long time. It almost sickens me. What has helped me is telling my partner and my therapist recently about it. I relapsed once since but enough is enough. I was looking for a support group and I found this website. I hope we can all fight this together.
