Im a 25 yr old male who has been suffering from this addiction for a long time, years. Im in a relationship but refuse to tell my spouse plz dont waste time trying to convince me. There are certain circumstances that prevent me from telling her. But anyway, the longest ive been clean was about 6 months cold turkey. Went through all the withdraws but somei wasn't prepared for and i wound up relapsing. My life has been a nightmare since this addiction and even though now i figured out how to beat it. With using healthy habits to train my brain to adapt and lose the old ones. I just have to stay consistent. Im looking for any ppl who would like to be accountability partners. Get to know each other and help each other stay on the path and rid us of this problem for good, just send me a message

The best accountability partner would be your wife. Get the elephant into the open and you may find that this situation can bring your relationship closer. Hiding it is only delaying the inevitable. I do hope you truly have "figured out a way to beat it." Seeking for accountability is definitely the right direction, but how accountable can you really be to a website or an avatar "partner?" I didn't tell my wife about my inappropriate behaviors util we had been married for 20 years and had four kids. Against my own inner fears, she was empathetic and had much more courage than I did. That's my experience though and I know everyone is different. Wish you well and hope you can find the accountability you need through here.

Accountability partners are good, and I would encourage that, but there are other steps that you could take. For example, do you have a program? 12-step? Do you have a sponsor? Do you have filter software, to block porn from computer or smartphone? The person to tell everything to, in my humble opinion, is not your spouse (yet), but your sponsor. Telling your spouse is imperative once you have achieved some level of success with sobriety and you have a system and tools to rely on that help you keep that, but the person to talk to right away is a sponsor from some sort of a 12 step group. I am happy to help in any way I can, but an addict doesn't have the sheer willpower that it takes to quit cold turkey, or they wouldn't obviously be an addict. I hope this helps, and send me a message if I can help.
