Hi everyone,
This is the first post I will have made. I have enjoyed some of your posts and am going to try to read some of the books that have been recomended here... however i have this feeling that nothing i read will help unless I do "somthing". With that in mind, I hope that some of the things that I read will help me figure out what that "something" is.
I have used masturbation as an escape for about 8 to 9 years. In that time my sources for mental stimulation has varied (what i use to get off). It has also increased in intensity. Right now and for the past 3 to 4 years (i think) it has been internet video pornography. I tried to stop masturbating and viewing pornography for a long time.. and was succesful in 2008 for about 3 to 4 months... i don't actually remember how long.
My problem right now is I don't know how I feel about porn... I don't feel like i know how to do anything right.. i need answers that only i can give myself but i don't know how to give them to me... I'm afraid to accept who i am and yet some part of me knows that is how to change myself.. and I feel like a little kid right now who needs someone to correct him.

Welcome to the group. I hope you find the understanding, acceptance, support, and direction you are looking for here. Glad to have you aboard.
Only by accepting what is (who and what you now are) will you ever be able to change, grow, and evolve. You have to be grounded in what is if you are ever to become what you want to be and what you are capable of being.
