My STBX husband is really starting to behave like a total jerk.I am well aware of his growing porn addiction and this is a new behavior that I haven't seen from him.I should be moving out this week if everything goes like it should.We are just finishing up some last minute paperwork for my apartment.My husband knows I am leaving and I am packing up my stuff.Anyway,he is saying some nasty things and doing some mean things that are supposed to hurt me but they are having the oppisite affect on me.They make me want to leave more.My question is is this normal for a spouse who is addicted to porn to behave this way when they know it's almost over?

i imagine he is angry that you are leaving but he still wants to watch porn, and he probably feels you are the one with the problem with it, not him. was he mean to you before the porn issue came up, emotionally or verbally abusive, even subtly?

No.The strange behavior such as the nastiness and the things he says are new.This behavior started within the last 2 weeks.

then IMO its a defensive mechanism for him to hurt you like you are hurting him, and that you want him to stop something that is destroying the family, and he probably feels its you that feels that way, therefore its your problem, not his. thats just my opinion based on going thru therapy and reading articles on this type of thing. its anger, and hurt, but obviously to him, you are the cause of it.

but we know it is his problem. and it destroyed the family

That's what I thought.I just needed to hear it from someone who has gone through the experience.
