Sex / Pornography Addiction Support Group
Sexual addiction, also sometimes called sexual compulsion, is a form of psychological addiction to sexual intercourse and other sexual behavior.
Every sinse I've abstained from sex and porn I've felt this increasing loneliness my therapist says it's because i desired sex and porn over friendships and now that I'm not engaging in those things I'm realizing that i don't really have friends and i feel so lonesome and kind of like an outcast and i feel like I've forgotten how to hang out with other men because i spent most of my when at work with women and trying to have sex with them that I've forgotten how to relate to normal people and i do want companionship but I'm it will turn sexual.

I think everybody feels lonely sometimes. Maybe you never knew how to 'hang out' in healthy ways with men.. and maybe this group can be helpful in that. And also how to relate to 'normal' people.
When I start to try social skills, and fall into old habits,, try to catch myself and redirect myself, and in your group, you can ask the leader and others to help you do that.. they are working on the same thing.
I was in a couple of groups that did therapeutic role play, and that was very helpful. We were in small groups,, we got a piece of paper with a situation on it to roleplay. It gave us practice in dealing with situations so we'd be better able to deal with them in real life.
