My husband was sentenced to 30 days jail/3 months probation back in January for having a brief relationship with a 16 year old where they had sex once (he was 21 at the time, we lived in Oregon, he and I weren’t together). He’s been in treatment for about 5 or 6 months now, and he has to complete that at least to apply to move back out to Idaho with me.
Now, I desperately want to be a mother. My whole life, my goal has been to be a mother. That said, I need to have them sooner than later due to my fertility issues. By the time he’s done with treatment, he’ll have about 2 years of probation left. Maybe this is stupid, but I’m afraid of waiting 2 years. I want us to start trying now so if there’s more than what meets the eye to my fertility issues we can address them before it gets worse.
If we get pregnant while he’s on probation, would I have to have either my husband or my children removed from my home? Or am I safe to keep my little family assembled?
I’d ask his P.O but I don’t want to risk making them suspicious of anything right before he applies for his transfer. Obviously no one here may be able to offer definite answers, but if you’ve had similar experiences, I’d like to hear them.
Hi, I don't believe they can do anything if the child is biologically theirs. Of course, this changes if they abused their children before. I wish you the best of luck!

As his therapist. In Texas where I am, you have to be an Approved Chaperone. I am in this process so my husband can move back home and meet our 2 month old daughter. Thankfully the Therapist and PO approved a safety plan for my husband to be allowed at hospital during her birth. It is tough but possible!
