hay gals i am new to this whole thing last month my husband of 13 years was lurd out by what he thought was an 18year old on a dating app i find my slef lashing out at my 2 year old son more and more i am going through hell my son mises his dad and i deaply miss my husband why are we the ones forgotten in all of this.
We are what my counselor calls "The Forgotten Victims".
No one cares to hear about us. They all want to show the poor victim and what they are doing for them, not the families of the offenders.
As for the offenders they just want to show how tough they are on them.
My suggestion would be to go to a counselor if you are not already. You are angry, confused and deeply hurt. And with reason. Your whole world has been flipped upside down. They can help you sort your feelings. Lashing out at your son is not going to help. I found lashing out at my husband didn't help much either.
Even if you choose not to, you should talk to someone, not the police, if nothing else just to vent.
It might help to keep a journal. jot down daily what you feel and be honest. Questions you have. You may never get an answer but sometimes it helps.
I wish you the best of luck and I wish I could say it gets easier, If it does I haven't gotten there yet.
I went through a similar nightmare. I have been viciously attacked for staying with my husband. He is now a level 2 sex offender. She accused him of having sex with her when she was 16, when she was actually 17. Not that it makes it acceptable but she had a 6 month affair with him then got angry because he loves me and made the accusations.
You need to focus on you and your son. If you love your husband keep the door open. Everything that I have learned is that most men do not cheat on their wife again if they are honestly sorry for it. Seek a counselor who will help you repair your relationship not just bash your husband. Focus on you and your family, healing and forgiveness. Nothing else matters. I am so sorry you are going through that.
