How many of you are still married? It's hard to be married but it's hard to be divorced. I'm currently still married but not sure if it's the right thing now.
We will be celebrating 13 years of marriage this year. There have been times I wanted to leave and he knows it because life is extremely hard being married to a sex offender...
Hi! I am new here. My husband is currently jailed for sex offense(sting) that happened in 2019. Went to jail 12/2020 and is serving 1-3 yrs. I have 3 grown children and a young granddaughter. I don’t know what to expect when he is released. Been married 30 yrs.
Im new here. Im still married and still in shock of "how did we get here.???" ...12 years and counting. I have good days and bad. But lots of more good days. My world was shattered 2 years ago with this. Not sure yet but a little happy I stumbled across this group.
Married 15 years this year. His offense was 20 years ago, and his accuser came forward in 2018 after MeToo happened. I wouldn't even consider divorcing him because he was 100% transparent with me. I am more struggling with being the sole financial support (working a demanding job full time) and also responsible for our 3 kids' activities and trying to figure out which of my kids' parents are "safe" enough to be transparent with.
Shatteredhope, it sounds like we've been going through this on the same timeline...my hell started in late August 2018.
I chose to stay despite my mother and her side of family saying I was crazy and that I should leave. The last 2 years have been difficult. Husband isn't welcome on that side. My dad's side is more welcoming but of course they are worried, as well. His family is welcoming.
Thursday we met with the public defender and he said that there was little to no chance that he wouldn't be put on the registry. And we have a little chance of him not serving time.
