Just out of curiosity, has anyone been pregnant/raised their child while living with the father (in any capacity) while he was on probation? I'm not currently going through this, but it's a worry at the back of my mind if my birth control were to ever fail or present complications. I wonder what would happen to my family.
I think child services would get involved in some way. I know here (Australia) my man would of had to of moved out until he was off parole even then child services would be involved.
My fiance and I are in NJ. When we get pregnant we both have to go to an appproved psychiatrist. They asses the offender and then they asses the partner they want to make sure the partner to knows EVERY detail of the offense even if it was bogus charges they want to know you will "protect" the child from the monster they will be living with. Then the psychiatrist has to give his report to the parole department. If we are cleared we would get what is called a living with children certificate which means my fiance would be allowed to live with that child. I believe for every child we have we have to go through it all again because on the paperwork we have to give the name of the child he would be living with. I am unsure what the rules will be ex wether or not he can change diapers, give baths, take the child to the dr's etc. I am also unsure if CPS would become involved.
