Lots of wise people comment on how difficult it is to be happy. Trying to be happy doesn't work. Faking it makes us feel worse. I think happiness only comes when we are not seeking it. Instead of chasing elusive happiness, we can make choices that bring goodness into the lives of people around us. When we bless someone else, that's when happiness comes to us. When we lighten someone's burden or help them feel better, we feel the emotion of "being happy." It might not last long, so we have to think of something else to do that makes life better for someone. That's one of the cool things about DS - there's always someone to encourage, someone to reach out to, someone to cheer up. You've already made people in our group feel better. That's something to be happy about. You're a good person. Keep reaching out and you will also be a happy person.

Like a butterfly, happiness will land on your shoulder. It just needs to know you are a loving person. Love is what it's ALL about. You gotta give it to get it. (And we usually have to give a lot more than we get. Not sure why, but it's true. It's in the giving that we receive - that is a law of the Universe.)

Thank you, I actually am a giving person alit of people I know tell me that. I like helping peoPle, PeoPle tell me that I'm too nice sometimes and that's why most people wAlk all over, and tease me, but I still like people anyways. It hurts me when I see people or animals suffering in anyway, It really does I'll hear something on the news like a child being abused or neglected and I cry and carry that with for a week Or more. I'm not maki g myself look good I just wanted to tell u guys that.

You have a tender heart and are a very giving person in real life I see. Why does that not surprise me? Isn't having a loving heart more important than whether we handle money well or any of the other things you put yourself down for? You have what really matters inside you. In time you will find friends who will appreciate your nature and who will treat you in like manner. Just know you are not alone and Teresa and I are sending boatloads of love your way!
