YOU ARE NOT JUST A BIG JOKE!!! I hate to hear you describe yourself so meanly. You are a sweet lady who has encouraged me many times and I am so grieved to hear you being so down on yourself. I hope you find the grace to begin to be even just a bit nicer to yourself. I know it is hard but please, please try my dear friend.

I know I ask myself all the why ? to I would like to know the answers to some.

When I look in the mirror know and before I lost my hair due to treatments I am always so disgusted I hate the it I see starring back.

Why? I will tell you the answers...
You hate yourself because someone made you feel worthless.
You can't forgive yourself because someone shamed you.
You are stuck in the same place because you still believe their insensitive words.
You hide and run because you were harmed and now you feel unsafe.
You are not a joke - you are a hurting person who is trying to heal.

Please be kind to yourself. Those "someone's" above set a pattern in your mind about how you deserve to be treated. You must reject their lies and stop the abuse. Refuse to be mean to anyone - even you. Please, dear sister, be as kind to yourself as you are to the others in this group. You wouldn't say such things about me, would you? You wouldn't say, "Teresa, I'm so disgusted when I look at you." Of course not! So do not do that to you. You really don't need more pain, do you? You need less pain and the grace to work through the pain that has been put onto you by others. I hope you can hear my heart in these words. Can you try - just for today - to be nicer to yourself? That would please me greatly.

I tell you truly, in reality you are precious and loved. You are precious because there will never be anyone like you, with the unique way of expressing yourself and your love in the world. You are part of our giant puzzle and we need you to be engaged with us! You are precious because the child within you deserved to be loved, but was instead neglected. You are beyond priceless, more wonderful than the most rare jewel on Earth. You are loved more than the sun and the stars God set in place. God does love you even if you can't feel it. His love is like the sun that is shining and pouring out warmth even if you are hiding from it in the cold dark place. Plus, I love you. Steve loves you. Many people on DS love you. And you have loved us back - that is worth more than you know and it shows what kind of person you REALLY are. Yes, dear friend, you are precious and loved.

Don't reject those words, just feel them. What if they are the truth and the things you think about yourself are the lie? Consider that. Which is better to carry forward into the next minute of your life? The truth or the lies? The truth will set you free. The lies will keep you trapped. Set yourself free.

Invisible, I feel alot of the same as you. Teresa is so right. You are loved and please try to start being kind to yourself as you are to others.It does hurt me to see you are suffering and I hope you can turn those feelings into nicer ones. I know it isn't easy but it is doable.

Ask yourself the question, and then allow it to rest somewhere in your mind. The answer will be revealed to you in time. And while you wait, be good to yourself regardless of your past and present circumstances. When the answer does come to you, you'll be surprised that it isn't you who is at fault. You're just doing the best you can given the world you live in. One day, as you learn and as more is revealed to you about life, you'll find better ways of doing things and better ways of living. You're going to do fine.

I don't deserve any kindness you are all too kind I feel I don't send anyone nearly enough hugs and encouragement. But I do wish you alll well. But I should do better I feel so worthless have strong thought of wanting to cut as I lie to my family too much and need to punish.

You do deserve kindness and love and good things. You are doing your best to be a good friend despite the great amount of suffering you have been going through.
