Does it Stop

I was wondering if when you move to a progressive like secondary is that where it stops because you are progressive? Or do you change to PPMS over time? Or is it still anyones guess? Sorry about all the questions and I'm sure I will have more.

It is my understanding that one who was RRMS can move to SPMS, but that PPMS is an initial diagnosis, like RRMS. I don't think that you go from SPMS to PPMS.

WEBMD says: Progressive relapsing multiple sclerosis is the least common form of the disease. Didn't sayanything about going from SPMS to PPMS.

Good question for a doc.

I agree with Oakenwood...once you are at SPMS that's the final dx. PPMS is an initial diagnosis. That was a question I have asked. But it is always good to ask your own dr for their opinion. When you move from RRMS to SPMS it just progresses...for some slower than others. No two cases are alike.
