I seem to have mild RA compared to most people. My pain is minimal and manageable. It is the horrible sick feeling and fatigue that never goes away that is knocking me down. I'm tired of fighting it and fighting it seems to make it worse (does stress make it worse for everyone?). Please share your experiences with decision making about work. I am a mid-forties professional at the peak of her hard earned career, but ready to give it all up and be poor for relief.
If you can work, god bless!, I had to give up working, 9 years ago. If you have any particular struggle at the work place, you may be able to make accommodations, lower hours, switching position of keyboard or computer, more frequent breaks, ect.. You are right about the stress and RA relationship. I too have worse pain when stressed.Yes, the fatigue and associated sickness stinks . I have a lot of pain and fatigue that I sometimes think I have another disease, but it's the RA.
I give you credit for hanging in there it's a challenge with RA
I hope you manage to strike a balance between working and managing RA symptoms. It's rough
Be well ,
