Well, lets see if anyone even reads this message! Looks like there are only 3 of us on this group board? Gotta be more people here who are in their 40's. I am also newly dx. Although I think I have had it for at least 1 1/2 years. My doctor is an internist and he is as sweet as can be but I think he does not know everything he should. I have so many bumps under my skin right by my elbowe and he only felt a few and said they feel like "fatty something or other". I told him that I can no longer feel a joint in one of my toes, all I feel is crumbly substance and he did not even feel it or even really look at it. Just told me that it was there I probably just didnt see it well. My feet are funky looking and he says it is all fluid and I should go on a no salt diet. Yeah right. a no salt diet is impossible. I have been on a strict low salt diet for about 6 years due to hypertension and I dont even like salt anymore. He knows I have Sjogrens, Reynauds and had Epstein Bar Virus really bad. Almost all my lymph nodes under my neck are swollen and they hurt. He didnt say anything about them. I am on 10mg of MX, 1 mg of Folic acid and will be taking B-12. He was very evasive on whether I will be able to continue working in 10 years. He said I have a mild case, well, if it is mild why cant hee expound on whether I can work? I have joint pain right now. I take 650mg of Aspirin every night. I have fatty liver already because of taking 1000mg of Depakote for almost 6 years. Now I am on 750mg and I am happy because my liver swelling has gone down and it does not hurt as much. However, who knows what the MX will do to it, and the missing 250mg of the Depakote has created a mild mania in me that is harmful to my health because I am now not able to sleep well. Need sleep for bipolar and RA. Somebody write back so we can all be a group!!!
