Does anyone else find them self reading a sentence in RAR in the middle of a paragraph and then using that for an "unofficial" entry? I do this all the time I write down what comes when it comes. Most of the time it is very useful to me, but every now and again I get mad at myself for answering a entry early. Dot, dot, dot, I know there is no path to heal, we are all different. Just curious.

wow sorry my computer went funky for a second, but yes, i do that ALL the time. I don't do much of the "assigned" journaling stuff...(things meant to be used as journal activities) because a lot of them are just too much for me right now, and because i'm not in therapy I feel like I don't need to get myself into a situation that I can't talk out later. But yeah, you're not alone in that. Those are where most of my thoughts(dot dot dot) I don't journal, so my THOUGHTS come from. yeah yeah, i know, i should journal. i'm workin on it :)

You know I found that's the only way I can even come close to doing the journaling activities...I feel like I'm cheating by skipping around but to be honest some of the stuff I've found in there, I'm not having issues with now in my life.

I think your right that we are different. I see alot of my young self in some of those young-uns here that 23 years has changed...(not saying I'm more mature but...I'm just saying...cough-cough)

I told someone this at the retreat. I didn't do alot of RAR because it was touchy, HARD! But after I gave it to my therapist, heard the words out of the book coming out in her voice...it changed that for me. Not that it wasn't still hard, but it helps hearing the words coming out for her to say in her own words and it helped me understand. Plus, this helped me address the area I was struggling with at the moment, I found that changes from week to week as well.
