2 of my best friends mums have suffered breast cancer recently. It has been horrible and scary but they both seem to be quite lucky in that they have to have radiotherapy and then should be ok. There is this moonwalk in london where women walk the marethon at night in bras that the have decorated themselves. I have volunteered for this walk to do the 6am onwards shift (providing drinks and stuff?) really just as a medative and gratetude excercise, I feel that this will allow me to cry the tears I need to cry for them and to provide something for the future generations while I can, I guess my selfish question i though... what is there for me? I here you guys talk about reclaim the night but is that in the UK? Is there something in London that I don't know about?

It most likely is this month, I would think.
Clothesline project and TBTN are here on my campus next Wednesday and Thursday. I'm having a hell of a time trying to decide if I should go or not. I don't know who would go with me, and I don't know if I could actually go it alone...but I know what a great experience it could be for me, especially the march.

Sorry to get off subject, Mayday...like I said I would definately google a search to find events close to you!
Google "Map of Gaps" and click on the postcode search. There is a letter to your MP and Cc. to Jacki Smith MP. The letter highlights that in some areas of the Uk there is enough government funded places for abuse against women but over most of the UK the government are not providing enough services as required by EU Law. Actually I may put out a post on this on both sites.
