It has been almost two years that I got married. I'm leading an unhappy life with my husband. The problem is that he is still in love with his ex, who died in an accident three years ago. He cannot forget his ex and not giving me the love and respect that I deserve as his wife. He keeps ignoring me. I'm a bit sympathetic to him because I know why he is behaving rudely to me. I have made some efforts from my side to make him forget his past and accept me. But he is not cooperating and showing any interest. I talked to him and to my in-laws. And I told them that there is no point in living like this. His parents are very caring towards me. They told me not to leave him in this situation and to give him another chance. His siblings told me to try attending relationship counselling along with him. And upon his parent's compulsion, he has agreed to it. I think this would change him for the better. Has anyone tried attending such counselling sessions? Did it make any positive difference in your relationship? Or Was it a waste of time? I'm curious to know your opinions because it can give me a little hope.
