Yesterday was 5 yrs post DDAY... I kept myself super busy.. didn't help. He did not notice one way or another. He was at work and then went to the gym.

have you ever gone and looked through old posts on here to find the very first time you realized there were other people like me. Then you hijack their thread. I couldn't find that post but I found my very first thread. It changed me! You all changed me.

I wouldn't be who I am today without the support I got from this group.

If you stumble across this support group I hope you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

It won't always be this bad.. (I thought this was a joke)

It’s been almost 5 months since DDay. I found out the day before my birthday that my husband has been having a 20 year phone and online affair with the only other woman he dated. 3 years ago they began meeting up when he was away in business trips and began sleeping together again. I found out years ago he was in dating sights and we had been working through that and his depression from childhood molestation. He attended 3 SA meetings 7 years ago but never went back. I never knew about this other woman. But he told he such lies about me and things I never did to keep getting pity from her. I’m completely devastated. He even told his therapist horrible lies about me and our relationship. I’m just taking one day at a time. He has he wants to rebuild. He’s been going to daily SA meetings for 3 months and has joined a child abuse survivors therapy group. When will the trust return? How does it return?

I’m still together just on 3 years post D day and it fucking sucks. I have almost lost all emotional connection to my wife and feel I’m just here because of financial constraints and fear of being alone. Can’t kiss her or have sex without thoughts of her affair still rolling back in my head. They don’t have sway over me like they used to be it can kill the moment fairly easily. She pretends nothing is wrong and suggest I see counseling. I wonder if she even understands the shit I went through to even be breathing today. Alone is how I feel.

A friend of mine did EMDR therapy and it truly saved her!
