Rebuilding Marriage After Infidelity Community Group
A community for those who have been through the heartbreak of infidelity and decided to stay with their partner and try to re-build the relationship.
I had a surprise yesterday, something that should only be GOOD. Our daughter made a surprise trip home for Thanksgiving. It was totally unexpected, and since we haven't seen her since July, it was/should be wonderful. She lives 1200 miles away.
All of our other kids will be here on Monday night, so we'll have everyone together for the first time in a long time. (DD and her friend aren't stayin here though, we're full up so they're staying at the friends moms house).
However, DD brings with her one of my biggest triggers. The trauma this family went through has to do with her and one of our sons. They basically had a huge falling out years ago, and this will be the first time she'll be in the same house as him in a long time. What we went through was a real catalyst for my drinking and pulling away from my H and his turning to the OW.
I don't expect any problems, but I was totally freaked last night. I can't even begin to explain all my emotions, but I was overflowing with them.
My H knows that seeing the kids is always a trigger for me on different levels, but this one is huge. I'm trying to keep busy getting housework done, but I'm really scattered right now.
I guess I don't really have a question, I just needed to rant a bit.

We spent the day cleaning...we have to "de-cat" before my DIL (#1 of 3) visits, so we had a big job. I hit the grocery store for hopefully the last trip (haha, jokes on me, I need more Crisco), and H did a ton around here to get ready.
I just took a hot bath, and am going to settle in for a movie or something, then early to bed. H and I had a great early evening, (wink wink, nudge nudge), so I'm totally relaxed at this point.
I really like having this board to come to. I find the sounding board to be very beneficial. You all are great!!!!

DD didn't call or come around yesterday and today because she was sick. She called and talked to my H today. She has the flu, and was in bed all day yesterday. So we know she wasn't ignoring us.
I'm looking forward to the week. It will be hectic, but so much fun to see our grandson (9 months old) and the rest of the gang. We only see them about every 2 months at most, so empty nest hasn't been all that great here.
