Rebuilding Marriage After Infidelity Community Group
A community for those who have been through the heartbreak of infidelity and decided to stay with their partner and try to re-build the relationship.

For me personally, volunteering is my fun activity. I really love being involved in our community! Probably sounds weird, but it's generally a happy, up-beat group of people and I've made a lot of good friends over the years. When we were having problems in our marriage, volunteering was my OP of sorts - and I used it as an escape which made H feel neglected. I gave up several positions/projects, but kept the two that I enjoy the most. (Truth be told, I was ready to transition out of some of the projects, so it gave me an excuse and H felt I was making the change for him. win-win.)
Great topic!
I also enjoy Japanese Brush painting and photography. I'm a pretty good photog but I love to mess with the editing software the most.
I am avid reader. I am currently working my way through a list of the top 100 classic books. I have 22 left to go.
So I will conclude with a quote from Dr. Suess in regards to what I think about this thread:
"These things are fun, and fun is good!"
So what do we do for fun? We really don't have anything but watching movies. However, we are working on setting goals for things that are for just us. We both agreed to go to a karaoke night and each sing a song one evening. When we first dated, we used to go two-steppin, so we are going to go dancing on a regular basis.
We realized with this affair, we really were not doing anything for us only.

I never thought I'd say this but I've grown to enjoy cooking ALOT. With all the wonderful flavors out there to mix and match omg.... I dont know who I am anymore...
I love reading and cooking, and have really gotten into yoga lately. I also love to garden, but live in WI so the timing for this is quite limited - but I fill the winter months dreaming about what to plant in our veggie garden.
I spend a lot of time playing with my kids and doing outdoors things with them like hiking or playing on the beach. This is something we do as a family.
My husband and I are trying to find "us" things now too as some of you have said...we were starting to get into wine, but he has given up alcohol since the affair since it played such a role and he had become by definition an alcoholic. But we talk a lot about travel and we like to read and talk about that...so its a start.
Sometimes its good to think about these things and the joy I can find in life that is unaffected by all the other things...
