That's the way I feel. I have been feeling down latley and just not feeling like fighting for the marriage any more, it's exhausting. After months of "nagging" H to do things as suggested in our counseling, like showing me the emails, reading the books suggested and just acting like he wants this to work he is starting. In the last week we have looked at emails , had nice talks and today he picked me up for lunch and I see that he has taken one of the books " just Friends" and I hope he is reading it.I finally feel like he really wants to make this up to me, just a feeling I have, But I am feeling like I need to proceed with caustion... Any ideals?? Why now is he doing things instead of just talking abouit it.? without me telling him.

Because he needs to own it, and it sounds like he is beginning to. All the nagging in the world won't help, he must see the need to do those things on his own.

Maybe he is sensing that you aren't as interested and are tiring of the whole thing. I think that our spouses can sense when we are pulling away and distancing. They seem to know when they have pushed us too far. That is when they ratchet things up and start making an effort. Or at least sometimes give the appearance that they are making an effort. They want to appease us.

I really do want to believe that he is trying.I am trying to maintain myself and not be overly excited because then he might stop trying :)
