I do so I try and get lots of exercise in. It really helps my mood. I also keep busy so I don't have time to dwell on things.

Every month for about the first 12 I fell victim to this. Insecurity, doubt, triggers, sadness, asking questions, anger. Yes, yes, yes... It was maddening. The farther removed I am the less often it happens. My H has been helpful and reassuring. I'm sure that has alot to do with it.

I definitely PMS big time! I act like a lunatic (ok, exaggerating) then I get it and say to myself, "Oh...NO WONDER!" In all seriousness, I do get more emotional and short-tempered. Chocolate is the only cure! lol

Ummm ... yeah. I had the exact same thing happen and my H finally asked me why everything was fine for 3-4 weeks and then I'd start a fight and get everything all worked up again. He blamed it on PMS so I intentionally held my tongue until AFTER my period was over. I was annoyed for good reason and wasn't going to let him blame it all on hormones.

Well as a guy I have a different aspect to add to the PMS thing. For the week before when ever I was around my wife I was horny as hell. I mean just being in the same room made me, well hard as a rock and want to jump her bones and screw her silly. I can only blame phermones. Some chemical signature she puts out just ramps my sex drive into high gear. Whats up with that?

YES, this is def true for me as well. H reads me like a book (which is both comforting and annoying, depending on my mood), and knows when the PMS has started (often before I recognize it). Since DD, I have gotten back into meditation, and have joined a group. I do find that meditation helps me enormously either when this entire saga gets to me, triggers get to me, or PMS gets to me. H encourages me to "let it fly" when I am feeling angry, or reliving aspects of the betrayal in my mind. We end up having rather interesting conversations. I bring up my anger, my desire to tell both H and OW (former friend) to "F off," H takes it, and then H recounts to me his emotions that led up to affair, his emotional alienation from me, et al. This usually goes on for about an hour or so, and then we resolve it (for the moment), and move on. The difference is that the conversations are more intense in the PMS stage. Pork, I hear you on the horny aspect. The hormones are flying, and this also raises my sex drive off the charts. Since DD, sex is constant along with communication. I am sure that at some level you can sense the hormonal elevation in your wife and you respond. Some things we are not in complete control of, nor should we be ;-)

I up my iron and magnesium uptake the week before my period and I also make sure to clean the house a bit better so I can let it slip.

I keep pretty good records of my moods and triggers and yes, the 48 hours before my period are worse.

Yes, definitely true. My therapist (lovely amazing woman) actually did her master's thesis on PMS; she told me to take 100mg of vitamin B-complex from days 14-28 of my cycle. It has helped a lot!

My cycle really screws with my ability to cope. It's almost like my the chemicals in my brain drop to zero. Nothing but negative thoughts. It's awful. My H will ask me, "is it time for you period?"

Juliet, my midwife to me to do this for morning sickness and then made a passing comment about using this for the post ovulation portion of my cycle to deal with energy drain. I never have.Maybe I will add this one in.

Juliet34, I'm going to try the B-complex and state I'll try the iron and magnesium. Figure it can't hurt. Thanks for the tips. I swear if I could I'd like to be drugged for that period of time. I feel like the girl from the Exorcist with my head spinning around.

well I have a 2 day window of time right before my period and that is when I pick a fight with H and it usualy results in me being very very hurt and upset and questioning everything. Then about a week after my period is over and I am ovulating I am extremely horny. It sux because I dont keep close track of my periods so when I am pms ing I think my emotions are within reason and then 2 days later I go, aaaaa shit. so yes I deff pms and it sux.
