My husband and I have been successfully rebuilding since shortly after I discovered Daily Strength. DDAY (the day I discovered his affair) was about 9 months prior to that. I am a slow learner, but I'll figure this marriage thing out eventually. :)

I am so sorry... These last several months must have been terrible for you. We all know it here.... Which is what makes it a great place.
We can also tell you that however it is not easy and never the same - it gets so much better with time. It just takes time and a lot of work....
We are here when you need us.
About therapy - make sure you are comfortable with the things therapist tells you. Its ok to switch therapists if need be. Fingers crossed that it is a perfect fit!

Dday for me was 10/28/2014... OW#1 was as old as our oldest son. I totally get it. It's been tough. Some days are better than others.
We switched therapists, we wanted and needed someone to tell us when we were being idiots... And she does! Make sure you are happy.. You don't want someone constantly telling you you are right. Because as much as we want to think we are, we are not.
We listen to audio books (he won't read) so we spend time together and I put the book on when we are going wherever it is we are going.

Allora, It's taken me 8 1/2 months to join DS. I'm hoping we are on the right road to recovery finally.

jayalexander, It took me 3 therapists to finally find a good one. I have my master's in marriage and family therapy myself, so I knew not to stay with a bad one. The couples therapist we were seeing in December was terrible! He asked me why I was so judgmental about my husband's lifestyle choice! This was after I said that it was creepy and disgusting that he had an affair with a girl younger than our children. Sigh...

Lifestyle Choice?!? What a wack-job! I would find a rating site and make sure I gave him the proper rating. What did your H say about that comment? My husband would have punched him. The guy my H saw in the intake meeting, told my H we were a 3/10, that this wasn't very serious. My H said well she thinks it a 10/10 and I am married to her and not you.
Our first MC sat there and said nothing, I was distracted my his glass eye and weird demeanor. So quiet and like we were in a secret meeting for the FBI, talked in low voice. So creepy.
I am shocked someone like your 1st MC is still in business.

for the audio books make sure he is driving so he cant fall asleep
