Oh, heck. I'm gonna do it. I threatened to, tossed the idea around, gave up on it, and I'm back here again, so I might as well. In light of the "why commitment sucks" article, how about a positive spin?

How has commitment/marriage bettered you as a person?

Rofl!!! I seriously read "battered" and was getting ready to write about that.... And I would have a lot to write. But it would be not because my husband was committed to me, but because he WASN'T. It's the lack of commitment that makes for a bad relationship. Just like with everything else. To be a good student, employee, employer, enlightened blogger, yoga teacher, parent you need to be COMMITTED to what you are doing. If you are not - you are going to suck at it.

Having said that - I am not sure if marriage made me a better person. My first instinct is to say it absolutely didn't (courtesy my husband's inability to commit, thank you very much). But i am going to think about it. Perhaps other people's responses are going to help me see something.

Oh, I can definitely write about how commitment made me a better person though!
