Rebuilding Marriage After Infidelity Community Group
A community for those who have been through the heartbreak of infidelity and decided to stay with their partner and try to re-build the relationship.
I'm not sure where to start - I thought about what I would write in an introduction and it seems like it would be dozens of pages!
The shorter version is that I have been reading the infidelity boards for months and I'm really wanting to participate - but I felt like this group is probably good for me as we are trying to "rebuild our marriage after infidelity".
My H had an affair for 8 months, it ended on our DDay in February, and we have been struggling through the heartache since then. We are in counseling, both together and on our own, and he is very remorseful and wanting to figure out a way for the marriage to survive.
His affair started right around the time of our 10th anniversary and we have three children.
I read what all of you write and I feel so much less alone. Almost every post feels like I could have written it myself. The fact that other people are feeling and going through EXACTLY what I am really helps me get through the days.
I hope I can contribute to the group - I know you have all already been a big help to me.

Welcome and yes I felt very similar...before I signed up, I read posts for months and could relate 110% to them. Healing takes time. Be good to yourself and know that the pain will subside over time. Sounds like you both are on the way with respect to forgiveness, healing, growing, etc. My heart goes out to you. We too just had our 10th anniversary... You are not alone, :)
Some days I just barely make it through, and some days I'm kind of lost -- but I work and have three kids so I can't even really just break down (which is probably a good thing) so I just keep pushing through.
The most shocking thing to me about my own behavior has been the anger!!! I am not normally someone who yells or screams and boy...some crazy stuff has come out my mouth these last six months!
