On top of probably going through a miscarriage right now....which has made me severely depressed and crying all morning on my birthday....I know my husband has to go on a business trip in a month. He has to do this trip every year. Well of course we just found out today a girl who was trying to get in his pants is going on the trip. Shoot me now. This birthday can't get any worse. I don't want to talk or be around anyone and everyone is texting and calling and wanting to celebrate. I just want to be left alone

So sorry for such a bad birthday. Sometimes the fact that it's your birthday makes the day worse than it would have been if it had been a regular day. Just because it is expected to be special. It is expected to be a good day. And then you feel guilty for letting down the people who want to make the day special for you.

Years ago, on one of my birthdays, Something super stressful happened and I became very depressed and I cancelled my birthday. Everyone was dumbfounded that I did that, but I was so upset, there was no way I could celebrate my birthday. I didn't really cancel. I just delayed it. We did celebrate on another day soon after and it was fine.
