Just wanted to give you all a quick update and I will journal later. We managed to have a good weekend this weekend - good talks, being supportive for each other, each of us working on our own stuff, loving with each other, and even some laughs.

I agree with all of you that say it will never be like before, but hopefully we will find a "new normal" that allows us to be happy together.

One big breakthrough this week came from my coach, who pointed out all the "shoulds" I kept telling myself and him and that I thought "should" be true. She helped me to replace my negative "shoulds" with some more positive ones, and I had a good shift in perspective.

Two of my new positive shoulds are:

I should feel brave for trying to work it out

I should be compassionate and kind to myself


I also have to really thank every single person here on DS who has given me feedback and support and suggestions - I read all of the responses, sometimes mulitple times, and I really think about it and take the parts I can use into my life.
