Rebuilding Marriage After Infidelity Community Group
A community for those who have been through the heartbreak of infidelity and decided to stay with their partner and try to re-build the relationship.
Thanks to Special3 who invited me here from the Infidelity forums. My husband had 1 affair over about a years time. We've been married almost 32 years and have 4 grown children (who don't know about the OW)
We went through a very difficult time in our marriage in the late 90s, and he became close with the OW at work. Friendship turned to an EA, then a full blown A. I played a huge role in what happened...I totally pushed him away and shut down.
He admitted the EA a couple of years ago and we got into counseling. Then about a year ago he admitted the rest. I think I knew at some level, so up until that point we didn't make much progress.
Anyway, we're doing pretty well. The book "After the Affair" helped us a good deal, but some days are still tough. I'm looking forward to the support offered here by those who've been through similar situations.
