Rainbow Military Community Group
This is a support group for homosexuals that are in the military and/or are in a relationship with someone who has just gone in the military. here we hope to help each other through advice and words of comfort, while discussing policies and politics on equality, as well as news updates on homosexuals being able to live on base and any changes in the "Don't ask ,...
But at work today, I heard about a new study that the Marines are doing. They are ACTUALLY sending women out to the front lines...or at least...they are 'trying' to.
I am not so sure if I am comfortable with this new development. While I am all for equal rights for both men AND women, I know that I have become quite biased since Taz joined the Army. I know that, were it up to me, I would never want my Significant Other to see combat. And I understand when people say: "Well, my husband has to do it...so your girlfriend should have to do it too."
I get that...but that doesn't mean I like the idea and would be okay with it.
I don't know. I will look more into it later.
which is stupid. Just deny her...don't arrest her for asking about a license. For reals >.>
Then there is that whole deal with Obama coming out and saying that he supports same-sex marriage.
It was great to hear him say that, but CNN is claiming that him coming out with that has just lost him the presidency.
I guess a lot of people dropped support after that, especially republican states (like here in Indiana). And then he was highly affected by an opposition by the African-American Community. Only 28% support his decision, and there is 67% against him in the black-church community.
All together though I think it is 49% of white Americans that oppose same-sex marriage, and then 43% African-Americans that oppose same-sex marriage within Obama's voter group. Not promising numbers at all T^T
I'm trying to stay positive about it. I really believe that in my lifetime, I will be able to get legally married and have it recognized in any state in America.

But it's people like that, that make me despise this generation, this era of human beings. Because there is nothing wrong with me...no matter who or what I am. Mine and Taz's love is just as pure and as true as anyone else's and I DARe someone to try and tell me otherwise *huff*
and then there is that thing I posted on MSOS about Marvel and Dc making gay super-heroes that goes on the good-news board too. I'm so happy~!!!
And more stupidity.
And more stupidity.

This is kinda follow-up to my previous thread about the X-Men that were getting married in a new comic issue. Now DC has a follow-up on a hero that they outed as well to try and make a difference.
Just like they predicted...it was the Green Lantern (not Hal Jordan though...Alan Scott).
