this is my first time posting anything anywhere. I was diagnosed with pf the day before thanksgiving 2016. I am only 41 years old and I have small children. I'm on continuous oxygen and in need of a transplant, although I still have a hard time accepting any of this as true. I am still getting used to functioning around cords and with the pain in my chest. I think what makes this most difficult is how others look at me. Sometimes in judgement like she must be a smoker, other times in pity like I'm dying. Is it just me? Is anyone out there who can shed light?

I have a cough for over 10 years but the test were ok until now .
The pft was the one that shows in 2015 that I had lost lung capacity but the drs ignored that . Today I went for the results of the ct scan and it shows interstistial lines in my lungs .
My mother was diagnosed at age 83 and died at 86. She already had the honeycombs on her lungs .
I am in shock right now and I cried a lot knowing what my mother went through.
It seems to me this can be pass on the genes .
