Glad to hear your good news. Hope you continue to improve. Keep up the good work - walking, exercise, good diet, etc. I also detect a positive attitude which is, maybe the most important aspect of living.

Today I helped a good friend move about 60 miles. I strapped on my oxygen tank got in the back of the truck and placed every single piece that went into the truck. Then I drove the truck to the new place and helped unload the truck in the same way. The good thing was that I didn't have to carry anything up and down the steps. The bad news was that I am now very tired.

Sounds like you had a heck of a day.....congratulations for doing so well. I cut the grass today (very humid)...had to stop a few times and was dremched with sweat and pretty worn out when I got done. Not a huge yard BUt there is a bugger of a hill that used to wear me out even when I was 30. ( We have been in this house for 37 years). I was really beat when I got done.....feeling quite va bit better now.

I am taking the same I think - Imuran is another name for azathioprine isn't it? I am hopeful I will get some good news when I go back in October too

For what reason did your specialist decide you no longer needed the oxygen and medicine? What was your strength of predisone?

The doctor decided in February (after my December hospital stay) that I was OK without the oxygen; however, afer he ended my medication also, I started to slide backwards and I found myself back in hospital. He believed I was OK without the Predisnone but it turned out to be not the case.This time I shall be on the medication "long term."
