Yes if she doesn't pray to only receive good things from the Divine. This can also happen if she is untrained, not in touch with her Spirit guides, or even sometimes a passed loved one will meddle in your life or the life of a person you are reading. They don't always know what's best.
Misreading tools is also a common way to receive bad information because they aren't accurate and can easily be manipulated by anything, including bad spirits. So practice meditation to get cleared visions and avoid using things like spirit boards.
