Honestly, I am just hoping that come next week we no longer need to have this group around... because if we have to deal with four more years of him, I'm not sure how the country survives, never mind this group, which is already teetering on the brink of being a ghost town as it is.

I really don't know what to expect from this election. I also want Biden to win in a landslide, but I honestly feel like the election will be much closer than that. I don't think that Biden is strong enough to win over any of Trump's base and I'm really not sure how big that base really is because Trump puts out so much propaganda.

I don't think polls are all that accurate because Hillary was ahead in the polls if I remember correctly and that didn't mean much 4 years ago and neither did the popular vote.

This is one of the most unsettling elections in my opinon because of the inability to know with much certainty just what might happen - who will win, will there be civil unrest regardless of who wins, etc...and if Trump wins, how will this country ever pull itself out of Covid, racial divide, and all of the other problems Trump has created?

I keep picturing Biden being sworn in on 1/20/21. A friend of mine keeps repeating "Biden will win by 20%".

As best as you can keep your thoughts positive and put all your focus on Biden and not Trump. Dont give Trump any of your energy.

I am also hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. 2/3 of Americans dont want Trump so I can see a huge uprising if he wins again.

Soooooo many Republican voters are leaving Trump and voting for Biden. It's absolutely amazing to see.

Remember, keep your focus on Biden winning and being sworn in and hopefully we are rewarded with exactly that.

Sonny, I think the polls were wrong last time for two reasons - 1) They were not accurately polling within specific states. National polls were accurate with regard to the popular vote but certain states weren't being polled frequently enough and when they did poll them they didn't account for the representation of certain demographics - namely the difference between college educated white people and non-college educated white people within rust belt states - which turned out to make the polls less accurate than they ought to have been (they have reportedly corrected for these polling issues this year) and 2) The combination of Comey's announcement about reopening the email investigation happened in the last week of the 2016 election and combine that with a massive onslaught of social media propaganda to go with it, there were a lot of people who may have said to pollsters they'd vote for Hillary who then changed their minds and voted for Trump or a third party candidate like Jill Stein or they stayed home and didn't vote.

One thing that I can give credit to Trump for, as much as it pains me to give him credit for anything, is that he has encouraged a lot of people to vote this year. His presidency has finally awakened people that elections have consequences and voting is the one thing we can do to change what we don't like. Yes Trump's base is never wavering no matter what he does or says they love him like he's their lord and savior (I don't get why that is, but I know at least two people who have fully drank the Kool-Aid and act like he is the second coming and yet they cannot explain why they feel that way when they're challenged to). But his base is also no more than 40% of the country tops. The overwhelming majority of the country is tired of him and his crap and even if they aren't Democrats and have never voted for a Dem in their life they've come to the realization that for the greater good of America Trump must go so they must vote for Biden. The only worry is whether the majority of America that is tired of Trump and ready and willing to vote him out A) Aren't all clustered in blue states - we need to convert some states that went for Trump last time around, whether they were previously blue states or states that have recently gone more purple - we need to make them blue states this time around and hopefully by enough of a margin the GOP and Trump can't argue their way into making it a state Trump won anyway even if he didn't actually win it... and B) We need to hope everyone who wants Trump out is motivated enough to go vote. I worry too many Biden supporters have mailed in ballots or are early voting and somehow in certain states those ballots might not get counted if they aren't part of the initial vote count - you know Trump is going to argue that any state he leads in by the end of Tuesday night should be declared in his favor before all the votes are counted and I fear the conservative majority on the Supreme Court might rule in favor of that since they've already got their thumbs on the scales right now.

Like Lucky, I just can't envision anything other than a Biden win, mostly because I fear what will become of this country if the results go any other way. I'm praying for a massive blue wave because it serves us little good if Biden wins but Mitch McConnell is still in charge of the Senate because he could just do the same to him that he did to Obama then. We need both the House and Senate to be strongly Democratic bodies come January if we're going to be able to reverse some of the damage Trump has done to this country.

I have a feeling there will be protests and trouble to come no matter what the outcome. Trump has already signaled he won't accept any result that isn't his victory and his fans (it feels like a more apt term) won't accept it either and they seem to be the ones with the arsenals at home so that's a scary prospect. And considering all the protests we've seen since Trump was elected, there's little chance people don't march in droves again crying foul that the election was rigged by him and his cronies, especially if he gets the Supreme Court to weigh in on it since he put one third of them in their seats. November and December will likely be a mess in this country... add the increase in Covid cases and the utter lack of care to do anything about it by Trump and co... it's just not going to be a very happy holiday season no matter what happens.

Cautiously optimistic though... fingers crossed and all that.
