Coping with pregnancy after stillbirth
What he..we went through to get to our BLESSING

just wanted to share my/hubby's story. I met my hubby 2 yrs after HIS first still birth from a previous relationship, a little girl, growing up with mostly brothers he felt there needed to be a change and always looked forward to a little girl. Shortly after we met we were expecting our first together and I miscarried, after that we had a second chance and was pregnant with our second child. By 4 months I was excited that we passed "the red zone" and couldn't wait for our baby to get here. He was more nervous than I was, having had his heart broken once by still birth and again by miscarriage. We found out at 19 weeks we were expecting a girl. He showed some excitement, but still nervous. We split up, a bunch of chaos in between, I ended up in TX he stayed behind, found another relationship, I come back to MI, suddenly they split up and we're ok...i guess. then at 31 weeks I sensed something wrong. My room mate took me to the ER to find out that my little girl passed on about a week ago. I was caring my deceased baby for a week? That's impossible, I swear she was moving this morning, *sigh* me and my delusions. Soon to be hubby was holding back his emotions, I believe he still does, I lose my mind, screaming. Although he did tell me he felt it was his fault and thought something was wrong with his "seed". I begged him for another shot at it thinking I could replace the one we lost. 2 Months later we have 2 blue lines on the test at the time the relationship he had while I was away also saw 2 blue lines, but wasn't sure from whom, him or past fling. After a while I realized the "new" baby was not like the first. No one could replace her, but no one can this one either, lol. I was a wreck though he whole thing. Went to the ER on so many occasions. Got married when I was 5-6 months along. Found out he had a son through DNA. Got depressed, and hurt to know that our little angel passed and the maybe baby that survived for his rebound survived. (sounds horrible, I know) Had our little girl a week early, due to high blood pressure I had to be induced. He got to name her and we welcomed Kyono(meaning blessing) Crystal Calista on November 24, 2012, 7 lbs, 8 oz, 17.5 " long, she didn't cry though, it felt like the still birth again, I want to hear my baby cry. Nope one look at daddy and she was content, he was the first person she saw and the crying finally came at 2-3 am that morning, lol. Now we work things out for both toddlers, His son is 1 1/2, Kyono recently turned 1, is still and will always be daddy's little girl. And Hubby? Well, daddy's a very proud and happy man.
