Hi Gang,
Just found out last week I am about 4 weeks pregnant ( this after being told we are probably infertile). I lost my first boy at 38 weeks. It took a lot of courage to tell my husband and he was so excited. Unfortunately, I do not share his excitement because I am afraid that it will happen again. I have not told anyone and don't plan to until maybe 20 weeks or so. I am glad we can actually get pregnant - I was looking in to adoption and preparing for that. It's just scary. Glad this group exists cos I know you ladies are really the only people who will understand the mixed emotions that come with all of this.
Congratulations! Sounds almost like a miracle happened to you! I totally understand the feeling, the mixed emotions, the fear and the hope, and I am not going to tell you to just relax and enjoy, I know from experience it is not going to happen. We lost our son at 36+ weeks in June of 2012, and on October 3 we had our rainbow, our precious little girl. I wish you an uneventful and safe journey with this pregnancy, and a healthy baby in your arms at the end of the road. Taking one day at a time was all I could do, not thinking any further, not planning anything. Did not want to tell anyone but we ended up telling the closest family (parents and siblings) around 7 weeks after the first ultrasound. Some very close friends found out along the way but for many people who did not see me during that time my baby was a surprise. It was easier for me to cope this way, but it was also good to have the support of the family and dear friends.
This group here was pretty quiet during my pregnancy, I found some action in the Pregnancy after Loss/Infertility group. I did not post but I was glad to be able to read posts of those I could relate to. You'll probably need all the resources available to stay sane and positive, so you might check out that group too.
Thanks for your reply! It really is a miracle that I got pregnant again. I am feeling a bit better about it now because we had an ultrasound and there was a heart beat! I just didn't want to believe it until I could see the heartbeat. I really appreciate your reply and support and plan to take things as they come and not plan too much ahead.

Once again, congratulations and hang in there!
