Coping with pregnancy after stillbirth

Im so stressed as the weeks go by. I was laying in bed and the baby wasnt moving so I got up to check him with the heart monitor and I wasnt in the right spot at first because I couldnt find his heartbeat. I felt the horrible heart wrenching feeling all over again. I just dont know how to get through the last few weeks without loosing my mind.
I try to stay busy but my mind wonders back to the kicking and did he move enough today or not? I think IM going crazy. Thanks for listening I just needed to come here to people that can relate no one seems to understand and everyone keeps saying everything will be fine this time. I want to believe them but can anyone see the future sure as hell not me or I wouldnt have let Wyatt leave us. Im really trying to stay positive and hopeful. I just want to hold him.

I understand how you feel. I'm only 16 weeks and I keep feeling that with my little flutters that I am feeling. I ask myself did I feel fluttering today, what if I didn't feel it. Is this child moving enough, is everything okay. I am somewhat dreading the next few weeks as I know my sanity level is going to be crazy. I try to stay busy as well but it doesnt help all the time. I just wish I could fall asleep and wake up with this child in my arms and the pregnancy was over. I really wish I could enjoy this like I enjoyed my last pregnancy with Colin but I'm to stressed to enjoy it. I know that is horrible and I feel like I'm not giving this child enough. I understand about the wanting to believe others, but I honestly cant stand when people tell me it will be fine this time, because like you said they cant see into the future. None of us can. I hope that it will work out,but I cant stand when people say it will as if they know for sure. I feel like if something happens with this pregnancy then I will be upset with the people who told me that it will be fine and I don't want to end up being upset with others. I don't know if that makes sense or not. My best advice is to try deep breathing it might help and to try positive thinking. That is what I am trying lots of praying and positive thinking.

Reading this reminds me so much of how I was feeling the last few weeks. Especially the memory of my 3 am visit to L&D because of no movement. It is physically and emotionally draining. I can tell you that once you have your baby there is a true sense of peace that replaces all the fear. I wish I had some magic to erase the fear for you. It's so hard. Just know that even though you couldn't stop Wyatt from leaving and you can't predict the future- this time you have an angel helping to ensure that his mommy holds a living baby in her arms. I'm always here if you need to talk. Hang in there. God Bless,Cynthia

Oh, I am so with you. I have had so many freak out moments. And so many times have I said, ok, if he doesn't do this by this time, I am going to the hospital- I haven't gone there just yet. I feel like I am loosing it. Poor guy can't take a half an hour nap without me wondering if he is ok. Then I start wondering if he has moved enough times, and what enough is. Or, is he moving too much and is that ok? I don't know how I am going to make it. I also don't like it that other people don't understand us. Staying busy- I tried that, and I am actually pretty busy at work, but that stresses me out even more because at some point I just get so terrified because I don't remember when the last time I felt him move was. So, I don't think there is a cure for us, not until we have healthly living babies in our arms.
