My husband and I lost our daughter (38 weeks via c section) last September and want to conceive again soon. I was wondering if any of you would be willing to share with me how long you waited and if you have had any problems in your current pregnancies, especially if you have had a prior c section... thanks and best wishes and love to you all
I didn't have a c-section with my angel, it was a VBAC actually. We were pregnant again 3 months after our angel baby. I am currently 37 weeks and haven't had any complications. I am having a c-section this time around. It is scheduled for Tuesday morning! :-)
We started trying as soon as we could and I fell pregnant about 3 1/2 months after. I did not have a C-Section though so can't provide much insight into that. I just wanted to wish you the best of luck and hope that we see you on this site again soon! xoxo
I did have a c-section in August 2010. I am hoping to ttc after my next cycle at the beginning of February, but my husband keeps going back anf forth. I was told to wait 6 months to ttc. This was my first c-section(I had 2 Vaginal births previously), and I also had placenta previa, so the longer I wait, the less chance of having it again. I had no complications after the c-section, and healed very quickly, and my dr even said that I could have a v bac if I wanted to....although I have already made up my mind to have another c-section.
Well we lost our Angel in May 2009 it took us 16 months to concieve again. I did have a placental abruption with my first but did not have a c section. I hope it doesnt take you that long if you dont want it to. Good Luck!
We started trying right after my 6week check after my angel. I had a vaginal birth though. I got pregnant after 4 cycles and about 5months total. I did have any complications and went on to have a healthy baby girl 14months after my angel.
Good luck
No c-section here either -- vaginal birth only. Was told to wait for two -three cycles before trying again. We got pregnant on our first try (after 2 cycles) --- two months after our Angel was born. (Our Angel was our first child). I'm 34 years old and didn't feel that we had the luxury of time, because I'd like to have at least 2 living children.
I didn't have a c section. I had a vaginal birth. I lost my angel in April we gave it 2 cycles and then started actively trying. It took us it took us 4 cycles to get pg again, no complications so far, but we are still high risk and get special attention.
We started trying after 2 months... wanted to be sure my folic acid levels were back up!! It took 2 cycles to get pregnant and my OB wasn't shocked to see us again so soon... I think as long as your hormone cycle is fairly normal for you, as regular as possible, and you give your body chance to replenish stocks of vitamins, and nutrients for healthy growth, and as long as you haven't been told specifically otherwise, you can start ttc pretty quickly.. I've had no complications so far, although in my mind I analyze every twinge, every slightly strange symptom!! Obsessive me...
I didn't have a c-section, but I got pregnant again 3-4 months after losing my angel and my rainbow is now a happy, healthy 6 month old. I didn't have any major complications with his pregnancy, other than increased anxiety, but was still very high risk due to my diabetes and previous losses.
We lost our Marissa at 38 weeks last January. It was my 2nd c-section. We were told to wait a year, but 6 months would be alright. We waited 5 months, and got pregnant the first month trying. I am now 31 weeks pregnant with a little boy. Being pregnant again has been harder, but I don't regret our decision.
I had a my second c-section in July of 2009. I got pregnant in January of 2010 and I had a healthy baby boy on September 27, 2010. My doctor told me to wait 1 year. I didn't listen to him because I had gotten so many other opinions and the majority was to wait 6 months, to make sure you heal. I was on bed rest for a month because of contractions this time around but it had nothing to do with the c-section. I wanted so badly to have another baby and I didn't want to wait but am glad I at least waited the 6 months. I hope this helps and I wish you best of luck!!
Good luck
