I told my mother today the news about my pregnancy. And as the conversation continued we started to talk about the future. And she said something about me having a baby in a year. And I got so scared because I thought "its not gonna happen". Can you relate?
I have definitly had that feeling. i constantly bounce back forth between excitement and fear. Its an emotional roller coaster. Hang in there and just take it day by day. :)
I have the exact same feeling. Now that I am farther along my mother and in laws talk about "when the baby is here", and in my head I think "if the baby is here", or "hopefully the baby is here". It is hard for me to think about the future. I have to think positive, but it is hard. I agree that taking it one day at a time helps.
It's so hard, everyone wants to talk positive and say baby will be here, but we know the harsh reality that sometimes it doesn't work out like that. My OB couldn't guarantee me a rainbow, but friends and family would look horrified if I even mentioned the no guarantee thing, or wasn't 100% positive. Like I was jinxing the pregnancy or something! I think you have to try to stay optimistic, yet grounded. How far along are you? Like everyone says it's good to take one day at a time, and just do all you can on that particular day for your baby... Say today baby is kicking, and I have done all I can for them, and say that to yourself everyday til it is done. Prepare things for baby when you are ready, don't be forced into it. I didn't start nesting til really late with my rainbow, actually the nest was pretty much preserved from when angel had been expected... :(
Noone will understand your hesitancy, maybe not even your closest family... but just do and think what's best for you... hugs
Im only 6 weeks into my pregnancy. Last week I went to see if anything was there which it was :)
Next week Im going again to see if there is a heartbeat. Im axious about it and I was last week too. Dont have good expirience with sonograms as you can imagine, having the worst news of my life last time around.
Its hard to dream that this pregnancy goes well but Im trying to stay positive and I tell people around me the same because it matters how I feel for the baby. Its really the third trimester that Im afraid of because I lost my daughter at 34 weeks.
I've been scared since we were trying to conceive. Even before that. It never stops being scary . I will get bursts of excitement and will feel that ignorant bliss that those lucky mom's who have never been through this feel. But I suddenly get this sense of fear. And I close up a little . I understand. Hopefully this will go by fast for you. So far this pregnancy has been flying by for me. Im going to be 27 weeks tomorrow! :) Only 13 more weeks to go. I can't wait!! We lost Logan at 40 weeks and some days. Im so happy that our doctor plans on inducing me at 39 weeks. I like knowing when its time. This will be my first induction. Are you getting induced?
