Have you guys noticed that your blood pressure is high this time time around? Every time I go to the high risk doctor my BP is kinda high and they always have to retake it. One time it was 162/80. Then by the end of the appointment it was 130/80. I dont know if they did it right the first time or what. But its been like that every time. They said that if its high again I will have to go on meds. They also had me to a 24 hour urin test and the found a protein there and she just said its not going to change anything right now but I will have to do another 24 hour urin test soon and they will take it from there. Is this happening to anyone else.
My blood pressure has been high at my Drs visits too - I think it is because they stress me out so much. In between visits I always check my bp at the pharmacy and it is normal to low - but at my appointments, it shoots up. Maybe it's the stress? But it's good they are keeping an eye on you - if you get any of the classic pre-eclampsia signs, make sure you call you doc right away - excruciating headaches, pain under your ribcage, visual disturbances, extreme irritability(not the usual hormonal kind ;) I hope everything is fine - keep us posted!
mine has been lower than normal - but usually I have high bp. I stopped taking meds for it when I was not feeling Bryna move- thinking maybe the meds were slowing her down.. this time around I had protien in my 24urine and they will do another at my next appt. You may want them to test for uric acid too . i had Pre e with my first pregnancy that turned into hellp syndrome. You also might want to monitor your bp at home too.

My BP has been a bit elevated in the doctors office, but I check it at home as well and it has been okay there.
Because I had preeclampsia last time, I have already done several 24 urine tests and will have to do several more during the 3rd trimester. So far, I had one that was a bit elevated, but all of the other tests have shown only trace amounts of protein, which is completely normal at this stage of pregnancy.
Hopefully, your levels won't increase, but definitely watch for the symptoms.
