I was just wondering if anyone is suffering from really bad anxiety and has considered taking meds. I feel like I am in the same place I was in after I lost my son. I even almost had a panic attack yesterday. I just can't seem to relax. I focus on my breathing off and on and I also notice my eyes bother me like its kinda blurry or I just dont see right. Mayube my vision has changed due to the pregnancy. I really dont know. I just feel so low and alone and i really dont know what to do anymore.
I also feel really anxious all the time. I don't have any advice but I want you to know you're not alone. I especially get really stressed at work and in the car.. I feel bad for my husband. He is bearing the brunt of my emotions. My eyes bother me too by the end of the day and I feel like I have permanent crumple in my forehead from this constant distressed look on my face.
I haven't taken any meds but I also need to find a way to relax. I'm so glad you posted this.
Your not alone, I had to take a trip to the ER the other night because I had such a horrible anxiety attack I could not breath and it scared the crap out of me to feel that way! But the L&D nurse recomended that I take benadryl because it can calm down anxiety and it us safe for us preggo's to take. Well it worked, I take it once a day now and it seems to keep me calm. Hugs <3
I've noticed that since I got my BFP I have been feeling more down and crying a lot more. I think it's because I know that I wouldn't be pregnant right now if I hadn't lost Samuel. It's very difficult to be happy about one child while still grieving for the other. I plan on talking to my doc. about my anxiety at my first appt.

this ride is a wild one- so sad one minute okay the next (never blissfully happy).
I think that the tricky part is going through this painful grief and also nurturing a new pregnancy. For instance, I was exhausted with grief and had almost immediate insomnia upon finding out I was pregnant but did not want to take even a benadryl to get sleep, but I was getting whacky from night after night of fretful tossing and turning.
I think it is wise especially since you are in the first few months of pregnancy to see a doc, see a counselor and see if you can be cared for for both at the same time for: grief and pregnancy. We are all in this together so I hope you know at the very least you are abolsutely not alone. XO, Jen
I would just like to echo Jen's advice of seeking out a counselor - I have suffered from terrible anxiety/panic attacks in the past, and my therapist saved my life - having a place to go week after week where I could just focus on myself and resolve a lot of issues from my past is what helped me to keep my anxiety at bay without meds. I know that meds can be helpful when things are too much to handle, but I think it is important to deal with the root issues at the same time, especially your grief over the loss of your child. I know anxiety attacks can make you feel like you are going crazy, but honestly - I think you would be crazy NOT to be anxous during this pregnancy! It is a tough road.....I hope through it all you are finding some moments of peace....hugs, Nikkiann
Hey sweetie, sorry about the anxiety. You are definitely not alone! I've been panicked and anxious this entire pregnancy. I agree with Nikkiann and Jen, therapists are a wonderful way to get those feelings under control (I don't think they will go away - of course a subsequent pregnancy is extremely challenging - but just processing those emotions helps to manage them a little.) Wishing you some peace and hope.
