I know this is a very unusual prayer request, but here it goes
I caught my husband cheating on me about 2 years ago. Long story short I thought things were being worked on and I found out Thursday that 2 months after he was caught he picked back up on the pornography. I talked with a lady from my church. She has gone through a similar situation with her husband in the past and she was a great source of comfort and incouragement to me.
She recommended that I get a team of prayer warriors as many as I could get without compromising to others in the church as to not tear down my husband to others within the church. We have 5 kids and it would be very embarasing to them for others to know as well. But what she did for her husband and how she prayed over him made a lot of sense to me. She had asked God first for a hedge of thorns to be placed around her husbands mind and heart to stay pure to her and to God. Secondly she prayed that God would make him so uncomfortable and to have no rest or peace till he turned from his wickedness and back to God and their marriage.
I this is odd to pray for someone to be miserable. But I do believe that there are times when we not only pray over someone to be comforted but to be brought back to God and his righteousness. It isn't just my marriage that concerns me. Yes I am hurting and on some level I want him to hurt as badly as he is hurting me and the kids. But my own human emotions aside I want to pray over him for the right motives. My first concern is as his sister in Christ not his wife. I'm afriad for his salvation. As mad at him as I am I still love him as a Christian first. God will heal my hurts and pain. My love for God is stronger than my right to be angry and hurt. I know I'm allowed to feel those things but my love for God is greater than that. So while I know it sounds like a jilted wife request to pray for my husbands misery I want you to understand it is with a right heart that I ask this not an angry bitter resentful heart.
By the way I have been up for 48+ hrs. now with my daughter who is recovering from major surgery so my spelling is horrible and there is no spell check on here so please forgive me for typos and miss spelled words. I sure wish there was a spell check on here. LOL

Have you guys done marriage counseling... together and separately at all?? You EACH have things you need to work through. Are there things sexually that the two of you need to discuss? (not here, but with each other... or with a counselor).
I totally understand praying for him and praying for his salvation first and foremost, but also....
well, kinda like this.... (as an example).
My dad smokes... so does my husband... I not only pray that God take the taste of it out of their mouthes but that God rid them of that stronghold completely and I thank God daily for this answered prayer -- trusting that it's already happened basically !!!
We do the same with your husband - we pray that God take the "taste" of pornography and whatever sexually rooted stronghold he has and make it NOT desirable and that God rid him of it completely and thank God daily for his salvation, getting rid of that terrible stronghold and the healing of your marriage.
I also pray Lord that you'll be with Dot's daughter since her surgery Lord, be with her, heal her, take care of her since her surgery, make everything line up as it should, Lord. Be with Dot and give her peaceful and restful sleep, Lord and time for herself to relax and rest.... help her to HAND OVER this whole entire situation to you and not take it back....that YOU do have it all under control and it's all IN YOUR TIME not hers.
Thank you God for answered prayer, and for Dot's heart.... I'm sure it's hurting right now, and in your time you'll heal it.
Dot, God knows your heart, He sees your situation, and He sees what you're going through.
You didn't walk out on your husband like you sure could have... you've stayed true to your marriage and God sees that too. He is going to honor your requests. Just know this, but it could take time... in God's time... you hang in there !!!
