7 people killed yesterday.
The numbers of dead may most likley will rise as news filters in from outerlying towns that have been cut offby floodwayers.
Over the last 24 hours districts between Maryborough to Gold Coast and inland to Toowoomba have received between 25 mm to 300mm (Chromhurst +250mm, Cabulture +200mm, Highvale +200mm) in large areas of the districts. Toowoomba had 100mm and claimed 4 people already in flash flooding. The Lockeyer Valley is in flash flood and the Brisbane river threatens to flood 30 Brisbane Suburbs as an allert was issued an houra ago as Wivenhoe Dam threatens to naturally spill over in an uncontroled event.
A man and a boy also died at Murphy's Creek in the Lockyer Valley when they were swept from a house.
Two women and a girl have died at Grantham when they were also swept away.
The town of Grantham's been cut off and there is no news yet of how other residents have faired.

Wivenhoe Dam is currently @200 % full Wivenhoe Dam 1,165,238MML officially + 100.0% full,1,728,590ML Releases from storage every 24 hrs as of 09:00AM 10/01/2011.
In 1974 Wivenhoe naturally spilt at 174,000 ML per day.
Tomorow 11 to 12 Jan it is expected to naturally spill in an uncontroled event at up tp 300,000ML per day.
On 27 January 1974 (Largest flood to affect Brisbane City in the 20th Century).
Flooding along the Brisbane River has the potential to be devastating. For much of the river's length its banks are relatively high, but topped by a broad plain. The river's sinuous course means that flood waters from upstream cannot be quickly discharged into Moreton Bay. Thus higher than normal flows cause river levels to rise rapidly and once the top of the banks are breached the floodwaters can spread over wide areas of the city hence the alert for 30 suburbs.
The combination of heavy rain, dam releases and higher than usual tides meant the Brisbane river could rise very significantly. The biggest impacts could be felt tomorrow and particularly Friday week (January 21) due to a king tide which backs up the river outfall by up to 3 metres.
The 30 suburbs of Brisbane set to experience flooding tomorrow are: Albion, Auchenflower, Bowen Hills, Brisbane City, Bulimba, Chelmer, Coorparoo, East Brisbane, Fairfield, Fig Tree Pocket, Fortitude Valley, Graceville, Hemmant, Indooroopilly, Kangaroo Point, Lytton, Milton, Moggill, Murarrie, New Farm, Newstead, Norman Park, Oxley, Pinkenba, Rocklea, Sherwood, South Brisbane, Tennyson, Yeronga, Yerongpilly, Windsor and Wacol.
My concern is also foor residents of the town of Gympie as the Mary River today ment through major flood levels at 16M and is looking to peak so far at 20 Metres.
Please pray for peoples safety as more than 40 people alone had to be rescued yesterday by Police and helicopters as they disobeyed road closed flooded signs.
Its not looking pretty.
Please pray for Residents Emergancy services, Police, Hydrologists and Volinteers of SE Queensland as they potentially face the worst flood risk / disaster in history.
